Ingredients
2lbs.(900g)green beans
½lb.(227g)chopped bacon
1teaspoon(2g)onion powder
1teaspoon(3g)garlic powder
¾teaspoon(4g)fine sea salt
¼teaspoon(0.5g)black pepper
Instructions
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Wash the green beans and trim the ends.
Add the green beans to the pot and return to a boil. Boil for 5-6 minutes and drain in a colander. Keep the green beans in the colander to dry off while you move to the next step.
Cook the bacon in a heavy saucepan over medium-high heat until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Turn the heat down to medium and drain all but about 2 tablespoons of grease from the pan.
Add the green beans to the pan, along with the seasonings and stir to combine. Cook for 5 minutes or until the green beans are heated through.
