Shrimp Scampi

This easy shrimp scampi recipe is made with olive oil, butter, dry white wine, garlic, red pepper flakes, and salt that comes together in just 20 minutes!

Ingredients
 

  • 1.5 pound extra large shrimp peel and deveined, tails on
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter
  • 5 garlic cloves minced
  • ½ cup dry white wine
  • ¼-1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ lemon
  • 2 tablespoons parsley finely chopped

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and saute for 30-45 seconds. Add the red pepper flakes and salt and stir.
  • Add the wine to the pan, bring to a simmer, and let the sauce reduce down, about 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet and saute for about 3-4 minutes, until shrimp is pink and cooked through. Squeeze the lemon juice on top and toss with parsley.
