Slow Cooker Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

Slow cooker apple cinnamon oatmeal is loaded with steel cut oats, apples and warm cinnamon spice. Toss the ingredients into your slow cooker and wake up to the delicious smell of fall!

Ingredients
 

  • 2 Granny Smith apples peeled, cored and chopped
  • 2 cups steel cut oats
  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar

Optional toppings

  • chopped walnuts
  • a drizzle of maple syrup
  • a splash of milk
  • an extra dash on cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Add all of the ingredients to a slow cooker. Turn the slow cooker to the WARM setting and allow to cook for 8-10 hours.
  • Remove the cover and stir.

Notes

  • To Store: Keep the oatmeal in the fridge, covered, for up to 5 days.
  • To Freeze: Once it has cooled completely, spoon it into a freezer-safe container and keep frozen up to 3 months.
  • To Reheat: the oatmeal, warm it up on the stovetop or in the microwave.
