Ham and cheese sliders are the easiest and tastiest crowd-pleasing party food ever! Serve these little sandwiches for game day, potlucks, dinners and more.
Ham and Swiss cheese are layered between sweet Hawaiian rolls and topped with a buttery poppy seed sauce.
They are perfect for picky eaters and great way to use leftover holiday ham!

If you're looking for a quick weeknight dinner or something easy to make for a lunch, these ham and cheese sliders are it!
Whether you're cooking for a neighborhood party, baby shower, brunch or Father’s Day, everyone LOVES a hot ham and cheese slider.
Just like these deviled eggs or bruschetta with tomato and basil, they also make great party appetizers for New Year's Eve with friends.
It's a family tradition to make these sliders on Easter night after enjoying holiday ham for lunch. I always make sure we have extra dinner rolls during the holidays!
What you need

- leftover ham
- Swiss cheese
- Hawaiian dinner rolls
- mayo
- butter
- dijon mustard
- Worcestershire sauce
- garlic powder
- poppy seeds (optional)
Here are a few ways to modify this recipe if needed.
- leftover ham - This is a great way to use leftover holiday ham but you can use sliced deli ham instead. Sliced leftover turkey or deli turkey is also delicious in these sliders!
- Swiss cheese - Cheddar, provolone or white American cheese taste great with ham.
- Hawaiian dinner rolls - Any dinner roll you enjoy can be used to make sliders. You can even make your own sourdough Hawaiian rolls if you're feeling ambitious!
- dijon mustard - Yellow mustard can be used instead of dijon mustard.

How to make it
Preheat your oven to 350°F (176°C) and spray a baking dish with cooking spray. If you are using a baking sheet, line it with foil and light spray with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Remove the dinner rolls from the packaging but do not break them apart.
Use a large serrated knife to slice the rolls in half so there is a top and a bottom. Place the bottom half into the baking dish.

Add a layer of ham and then a layer of cheese over the bottom half of the rolls.
Spread the mayonnaise onto the underside of the top-half of the rolls and lay it over the ham and cheese layer with the mayonnaise side facing down.
TIP: Heat the ham slices up in the microwave on 50% power until they are warm. This will give the sliders a head start in the oven and the cheese will melt more evenly as they bake.
Melt the butter in a saucepan or in the microwave. Whisk in the dijon mustard, onion powder, poppy seeds and Worcestershire sauce.
Pour the butter mixture evenly over the top of the rolls.

Cover the dish with foil and allow it to sit on the counter for 10 minutes.
Bake the sliders covered for 20 minutes, remove the foil and bake an additional 5-10 minutes.
Use a sharp knife to cut the sliders apart and serve.

TIP: Assemble these the day before but don’t put the sauce on until the oven is preheating the next day when you're ready to bake them.
How to store it
If you have any leftovers, wrap them in foil and store them in the fridge for up to 3 days.
They can be reheated in the oven, right in the foil wrapper at 350°F (176°C) until heated through.
If you'd like to use a microwave to reheat the sliders, make sure to remove the foil first.

Made tonight for dinner. Did have Turkey and half ham due to picky family. Also had to use sandwich slices since I didn’t have leftovers. Everyone loved this! I appreciate the way your recipes include little details that make the recipe work spot on. Thanks!
